Antelope Springs Counseling Services is committed to focus on the emotional health and wellness of the family as well as each individual person within the family unit. If you find yourself struggling to find happiness, peace or resolution with life issues, help is available. Using a variety of approaches, custom designed to fit the needs of each client, the style of therapy that I use is based on empowering the individual, family or couple with positive, forward moving strategies. Suggesting homework is a primary way providing a foundation of personal empowerment. Often times that will be a suggested reading assignment, (“A book is the ax with which you break the frozen seas within.” -Kafka), as well as writing feeling or thought papers. And there are occasions where an experiential recommendation will be suggested. All of those techniques are aimed at harnessing the strength within each individual and allowing a good sense of self to emerge.
I have been helping and specializing in parenting and family counseling since 1979. Many individuals, as well as couples and families have experienced great success in their therapy work. Personal testimonies that explain the changes that they have experienced are found within the feedback area. You may want to read the feedback as a way to experience some hope or inspiration from what others have accomplished.
Research suggests that therapy can be very effective as a way to enrich and change your experience of life, especially if you are willing to introspect and be open to new thoughts, and new ways of doing things, which is the foundation of therapy. I encourage you to consider an enriched life, one full of joy and satisfaction, it is available for you. You can, to a large degree, choose your experience of life.
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” -Viktor Frankl
